Not my favorite of the three. Long on detail and description, short on plot. Still, I did finish it, and I didn't hate it. I just think this book would have been better served with most of it cut out and put into book three. There doesn't always have to be a trilogy. Just sayin'.
This was an excellent second book in the series, following after the events of Feed. I don't want to dance around any spoilers, but there is a huge event at the end of Feed which has ramifications here. And again, even though there are zombies in the book, its more about journalism, relationships...
I definitely liked Feed more than I liked Deadline. There seemed to be a lot of exposition in this book and not enough action. I admit that I found some of it a little confusing. Going back and reading over some parts helped. That being said, I was surprised to find that I liked Shaun as a narrator....
WhatwhatWHAAAAT? Where's the third book! MUST READ!
Oh holy hell...That was one insane cliffhanger! Shaun is gonna officially shit his pants! And Shaun... what the heck is going on and why do we have to wait so long for the next book.I almost wish that I had waited longer to read this one, I feel like there's about a year before Blackout comes out....
Now a year to wait until the concluding part.
As the second book in the series, Deadline does not disappoint! Shaun is left to deal with the fallout of Georgia's death at the end of the Ryman campaign and he's not doing well. The problem is that Georgia has taken up residence in Shaun's head and talks to him. The situation gets even more com...
I was really hoping that book 2 lived up to the expectations I set from reading Feed. I thought Feed was amazing… Deadline hit the mark as well. I’m not even sure how to write a proper review without giving anything away, because I’ve had that happen personally one too many times, so I will just say...
Lessons learned from Deadline-1) The voices in your head might be smarter than you, so listen to them!2) That the government doesn't like to admit they are wrong (we'll I learned this lesson working for the exact agency mentioned in this book but nevermind that fact).3) Don't doubt the decisions you...
