First Japanese manga I have ever read, I was quite curious to see if I would enjoy it. And I kinda did, once I got used to reading from right to left!I have seen this story as an anime though, and I think that kind of ruined the read a little for me as I pretty much knew everything that was going to...

This series has read like a supernatural Sherlock told from Moriarity's POV.

When I read Death Note several years ago, I was very, very disappointed with its ending. So this self-righteous bastard, this mass killer, got Nothingness as his sentence? Not fair! Compared to that, Sartre's Existential Hell is, well, hell. At first glance, it might seem that the other way around...

It wasn't bad, I liked the premise and the details that went into it. Every time I came up with a "But then what if . . .?" question, they actually answered it.My main problem was the talking. There was way too much talking and dancing around the point, and I just couldn't bring myself to really car...

My first Manga and I really enjoyed this. Took me a few pages to get the hang of how to read it, but I liked the story and artwork. Now onto Vol 2, as I make my way through my daughters library!

Any human whose name is written in the notebook dies, and now Light has vowed to use the power of the Death Note...

First volume had grasped my attention as it introduced me to the new ideas, plots, and it was well executed. Overall series, I might give 5 stars to the first 7 volumes (before the death of L) and other 7 volumes, I'll give them just 2.5 because they can't attract me like the first 7 could do.

My first manga. It was good. A little disconcerting, but good.

What a story! It was so engaging from beginning to end. The 2 main characters, Light and Ryuk, are very likeable, despite being (both of them) anti-heroes. Light starts to kill people in the Death Note in such a clever way. I like that there is a competition between two clever guys: one the killer, ...

My very first Manga experience and it was totally amazing! Love love loved it!!!! So exciting! Couldn't put it down. Was extremely disappointed and surprised when I got to the end. Silly me! I should have bought both volumes 1 & 2 together so I could have kept reading!!!!
