Quite frankly, this book was like a train wreck. It was completely awful, but I just couldn't look away. I will not be purchasing the next book in the series.
I have to admit, I did the horrid thing...I picked a book for it's cover...Ok, not really the cover, the cute puppy on the cover is what drew me in. (Hangs head in shame, 'cause I know better!)I did not finish this book. I could not get past the ultra whiny, selfish, stuck up, judgmental, needy and...
Synopsis/Storyline: Calliope Reaper-Jones just wanted a normal life: buying designer shoes on sale, dating guys from Craig's List, web-surfing for organic dim-sum for her boss...But when her father—who happens to be Death himself—is kidnapped, and the Devil's Protege embarks on a hostile takeover of...
So I couldn't sleep last night and picked this one up as a friend on another board was reading the 2nd one and said it was pretty bad. Well, if it was worse than this one I wonder how it got published! Maybe because Amber Benson is such a well-known name to a lot of people who read this genre. Gr...

Fans of TV's "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" will probably enjoy this one. I believe Miss Benson (who played Tara) mentioned on her blog that she took inspiration from being on the show when writing this story. I found the book enjoyable, but not that memorable. OK, maybe a couple grotesque images will s...
Ack, not the first person perspective for me. I think the narrator and I have too much in common, stream of consciousness-wise, as her voice annoys the heck out of me.
