Where after a long career as a Souldier or Reaper, she now finds herself fighting to keep her targets from becoming ash with the constant reminder of those she hit and ashed. Then she and her few comrades—Ernie Berkovich & Eirenaios “Peacemaker” Fletcher—are hit with the unexpected, a gangster named Theron Leander (the Lion) gains control of the district of Nemea as Emergency Manager appointed by the corrupt Mayor Eadeus. Leander has been terrorizing the district for some time, so Dedd with Ernie and Peacemaker think this it where they must save the Nemeans from Leander’s stronghold. This leads them into a lot of dangerous situations.
