In Cardoso’s “Dependency and Development in Latin America” he presents some facts and reasons concerning production, modernization, and industrialization in Latin America. He talks about the intensification of production after World War II and how around the year 1955 there was a new factor which was called income redistribution. Before World War II industrialization wasn’t a major factor but was just something to help alleviate the depression, not just the Great Depression of the 1930s but other ones that came and went as well.
