A devil's bargain Easily the shyest Wallflower, Evangeline Jenner stands to become the wealthiest, once her inheritance comes due. Because she must first escape the clutches of her unscrupulous relatives, Evie has approached the rake Viscount St. Vincent with a most outrageous proposition: marriage! Sebastian's reputation is so dangerous that thirty seconds alone with him will ruin any maiden's good name. Still, this bewitching chit appeared, unchaperoned, on his doorstep to offer her hand. Certainly an aristocrat with a fine eye for beauty could do far worse. But Evie's proposal comes with a condition: no lovemaking after their wedding night. She will never become just another of the dashing libertine's callously discarded broken hearts -- which means Sebastian will simply have to work harder at his seductions...or perhaps surrender his own heart for the very first time in the name of true love.

I do not really have the time to write an individual review for all of these books, but I can say that the last week has been some pretty solid reading. Let me say that there is no outright rape in these books, but they are all steeped in the trope of a beautiful virgin (in this case one in each book) who on...
Loved this book and this author!! This is the third book in the " Wallflower series" I love reading the books in order just so that I can catch up with the previous characters. But this is a standalone book, so don't feel like you have to read them in order!
The Devil in Winter by Lisa Kleypas Avon Books 2006 I didn’t really get into this book until well past the first half: in fact, at around (according to my ebook copy) 75% read. The hero gets shot, things look very bad for a while, and then they take a very interesting turn. But more on that late...
Yeah, I'm done. Evie's just so unfeministic. It's like she has a thing against feminists, or something. She stands up to her uncles and her families, but when Sebastian comes along, she's like "Yes, I will do whatever you want me to do, even when you're a jerk, because's you're so sexy." My reaction...
