Kit and Fancy are as close as two sisters could ever be. They are inseparable and prefer the company of each other rather than mingling with the other residents of Portero, TX. They are reluctant to go amongst the other people in town, mostly because of the way they are treated. Kit and Fancy are t...

This is an intriguing collection that interpret steampunk broadly and in doing so, proves a lot of fun. A few stories stood out for me, sometimes I think because their ideas were less familiar (to me)."The Cannibal Fiend of Rotherlithe" by Frewin Jones startled me. Not what I expected, but interesti...

I got this out of the library on my phone as an experiment, so chose it because it was available rather than through any strong desire to specifically read it. Read 9 of the 13 stories before it was due, and found them perfectly enjoyable.

The protagonist is an amazing character, I wish this book gave her the right venue to breath. Without her the book is just another coming of age urban fantasy, with her it is a travisty for what could have been.

I would have given this book a 5 easily, if the ending wasn't so..sudden. Anyway besides that bleeding violet was a great read. What caught my attention was the title and the cover. Dia Reeves' debut novel, Bleeding Violet, was one of my favorite books of 2010 but I can't say that Slice Of Cherry will be a favorite for 2011. I did enjoy the book and I definitely thought it was just as unique as Bleeding Violet. This one was a lot darker though and it took me a while to get past...
