This reader's personal opinion, ©2013, all rights reserved.* This one caught me up immediately. Vivid writing. Sympathetic characters. Fast-paced. Clever and original worldbuilding. A lovely air of bringing in more of the Brothers Grimm style of folklore. Witches control territories and people an...

The finale of the series and you see a lot of things happening as a result of what came before, only I had difficulty getting into the story and didn't quite engage again with the characters. I intend to re-read the series sequentially and see if that improves my experience of magic, chaos and stra...

this one flagged a little for me, I possiblyt would have enjoyed it more if I had read it right after the prequel. Reisil is still trying to work out where her loyalty lies and how to control her magic, in the middle of an epidemic her ability to heal is failing. However her skills seems to have...

Wow, wow, wow, why I spend so much time to not read Bitter Night asap, I have no idea. In my urban fantasy spree, I love that there's an urban fantasy series that make me hooked! Like it title, Bitter Night have a bitter heroine called Max who plan to revenge to her best friend. For her, immortality...

I have to say that this was another great addition to the Horngate Witch series. I'm also heartbroken to hear the rumor that this may be the last one. NO! I'm hoping that it is only a rumor since this book didn't feel like an end of the series type of book. It's not a cliffie book. It is complete, b...
