Yes, I want to read this book. I want to read it very much. I wanted to read it two years ago when it was supposed to come out.But it never did come out. It never appeared on the shelves. And in the two years since then, not a word has been said as to why. No one--not the author, not the publisher--...

Spock's World features a plot that terrified the Trekkie in me: Will Vulcan cede from the Federation?I'm not going to get too much into the plot (it would be too easy to create spoilers), but I will say that this novel plays with canon a little more than I'd like (AI computers? Really?). The dialo...

I'm not sure why, but I expected more of the novel to take place in-game. I was expecting it to be more like Ready Player One. The game sounds like it would be fun. The main focus of the story is actually on getting a new expansion released and the stock price of the company releasing the game. It...

The book reminded me a lot of A Wrinkle in Time. There was a lot of ‘science’ in the book. I was surprised at how dense in made the reading. I had a really hard time getting past the fantasy of the book. It’s not that it was bad because it wasn’t at all. It just wasn’t my type of magic or fantasy so...

A great fantasy series. I love the magic system. It's so believable and plausible and fits so seamlessly into the real world. And I really enjoy Kit and Nita and the friendship they develop.

This is the third in the Young Wizards series. I quite enjoyed the first, but no more than that, and was prepared to abandon the series. However, I was persuaded to read the second, and after a mediocre first half it turned out to be wonderful - unexpectedly deep and moving for a young adult book. I...

Meh. I wanted to like this book a lot more than I actually did. I think that I failed to really connect with the characters because everything was so ... scientific. The "magic" was explained using all sorts of very geeky garble. Usually I like geeky stuff, don't get me wrong. I consider myself smar...

Although the concept was interesting I could not get into this book and gave up on it after 70 pages.

This is one of the first fantasy books that really resonated with me. I remember reading in voraciously in my room. The thought that you could find a book that could change your perception of the world (both mine and the character's) was enlightening. If this one didn't start me on the path to Sc...

This book is based on one of the better Star Trek episodes that I had seen, though I am not really a big fan of the series. For some reason there seems to be competition between the lovers of Star Wars and the lovers of Star Trek, and me I would generally fall into the Star Wars category simply beca...
