Hello I'm Matt Harris, and welcome to 'Diary of a Gamer - The PlayStation Journals' for Kindle. In this preface I'll briefly introduce the book's content resource and provide familiarisation with my ideology and presentation style.

The Content

But for a light serving of PC ‘Gaming Gold,’ content is singularly Sony PlayStation derived; featuring a plethora of unique, information rich and quirky gaming narrative. This wealth of collated, enhanced and re-edited material, sources from nearly five years of fondly scripted existing resource. Told chronologically over three and a half evolutionary PlayStation gaming years; 'Diary of a Gamer' conveys my thoughts, hopes, predictions, frustrations, highs, lows and much more.

There's considered views in the lead up to Sony's next generation of gaming. While also broadly covering it's fascinating ongoing evolution. You'll hear about my fraught, bitter sweet love affair with PlayStation Vita; the denouement of which presents a significant, ironic twist. You’ll bear witness to my primeval, inherent leanings to the PC master race, which intermittently fervently wells within. You'll also meet the 'ambient' and 'patient' gamer's, and hear my take on the infamous PlayStation Plus indie invasion. I'll also be discussing many of Sony PlayStation's greatest (and worst) PSV, PS3 and PS4 titles. Plus there's a myriad of meandering, anecdotal, satirical gaming content; while a light diet of retrospective reviews, best buys and dry, gaming irreverence also abundantly feature.

Family Friendly PlayStation Journals

I also have a zero tolerance on the fruitier use of the 'English' language. Consequently you'll find no expletives in any form throughout the entire book. This publication is totally family friendly; though I do comedically rant on occasion!

Free Updates for Life.

My PlayStation Journals currently run to a novel length 51,000+ words; but it won't be ending there. In true 'never-ending' story tradition, owners of 'Diary of a Gamer' will receive free content updates for life. So, as I continue to commit to 'paper' my ongoing PlayStation diaries, the Kindle book will be updated to include the new material. Technically therefore, it's a journal with no end.

Finally, I do hope you enjoy my varied and occasionally witty thoughts on this wonderfully diverse, and hugely popular global entertainment medium.

Happy Gaming
