Enjoyed this one more than the first. The plot was more straightforward and I really liked all the bits with the wizards at the Unseen University. Pratchett is an imaginative writer, and the humour is quite clever at times. I can't say I'm entirely sold on Discworld just yet but I definitely see a l...

Ebook. Very entertaining. I was actually laughing out loud at multiple parts. Definitely recommend for anyone who enjoyed The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series. I will read more of this series whenever I am in the mood for something funny and entertaining.

I was a late convert to liking The Light Fantastic. Sure, the imagination and world-building prowess are mind-blowing. But the humor! See if you cringe as much as I did over this dated joke:'Rincewind, all the shops have been smashed open, there was a whole bunch of people across the street helping ...

My epub file was missing the whole section where he goes to visit Death. And yet I still found the novel quite enjoyable (after I filled in the plot holes via the interwebs)

This is early Discworld, and it shows, but only in retrospect. Yes, the Discworld books do get better over time, but they started out really good. The first was The Colour of Magic. In these tale we follow the (mis)adventures of Rincewind the Mage, Twoflower the first Tourist and...

Picks up where the first novel left off... ... as in: EXACTLY WHERE THE OTHER LEFT OFF ^^ (Starting novels with cliff-hangers is not as bizzare as it may sound!)

A great dovetailing with The Color of Magic, and plenty of very funny little vignettes as Rincewind and Twoflower continue their travels of the Discworld. With the Luggage, of course. I still want a Luggage of my very own. Ahem. There's Death and his cronies over a game of bridge. Trolls. Cohen the ...

Rincewind & Twoflower were last seen disappearing off the edge of the world, but this world is not the usual kind and this proves no impediment to the story. Introduces a barbarian hero, deals with the birth of worlds and the importance of going home. This is one of the few books in the series that ...
