I am shocked that I actually continued on with the series as I found the first Kathy Reich's book to be pretty standard and actually found the TB character annoying. Her books really haven't gone out of the 3 star range for me yet and I am almost done with the series.

This book was poorly written, gruesome and not entertaining in the least. All I have to say is there would be no Bones show if not for the writers of the show who completely changed Reichs' Temperance Brennan!!! Anyone who loves the show Bones, as I do, will most likely despise this book. The only t...

Very technical. Not many similarities to the show (at least so far), but still really interesting.

There is a lot of detail that causes you to have to be very patient with this book. It's longer than it needs to be, but it's an interesting story that plays out fully. Going to start the next one on Monday.

I loved this book. I decided to read it since Bones was my favorite tv show. Even my cat is named Temperance after it.As crime mysteries go, I think this is the best series I have come acoss. It is different from the regular cop perspective which I enjoyed. There is so much detail.

Not a bad read. Comparable to Patricia Cornwell. You got a feeling of some things that were going to happen and also that some of the leads just didn't add up. Very quick read that just sucks you in. I also learned a little French!

I was curious because of the tv show, and this is definetly much better than the show ( but then, I don't like the show)The main character is much more interesting, much more human: middle-aged, divorced, recovering alcoholic and she actually has interests besides work. ( maybe i don't like the tv c...

I liked this one, I certainly prefer Temperance Brennan to Kay Scarpetta. Tempe (although just as focused on her job as Kay) is no where near as self pitying as Kay is. Although I guess this is only the first book of the series. I have started the second (Death Du Jour) and it's not bad so far.

I'd expected it to be better - - more like the Temprence Brennan of Bones. If I hadn't had that in mind I may have liked it better. Then again, if I hadn't had that in mind I probably wouldn't read any other books in the series. But as it was I think the only similarities are the name and the prof...
