This book provides the proceedings of the First International Symposium on Canine and Feline Reproduction. Included are 29 invited papers representing nearly all laboratories worldwide which have maintained a basic or clinical research interest in dog or cat reproduction over the past decade. These full papers, along with the brief communications of reports presented as posters at the Symposium, provide an up-to-date summary of much of what is known about normal reproductive processes in dogs and cats, and the extent to which we can enhance, suppress or control their fertility. The reports cover in breadth and depth the major advances in our understanding of dog and cat reproductive biology over the past several years, and suggest new directions for future research.
