Do you see me? Do you know who I am? I hear you whisper, but you act like I can’t hear. See me hurting? Or are you that damn blind...too damn cruel or just being unkind? Are you hoping that I’ll go away? So you won’t have to face us day after day? Do you pray, pray...that “it” goes away? Got news for you, we’re both here to stay! Can’t we talk about it? Will you at least hear...what I have to say, there’s nothing to fear. Do you love me? Or do I not matter? Do you care if I live a life broken and shattered? I know you’ve seen it. Too much to ignore...feelings deep, deep, deep inside and so much more. Look at me, talk to me...why can’t we reason?!?! Must we go through this season after season? Look at me, talk to me…you still refuse, but I will not stay battered and bruised… All because you will not see the one, true, authentic me…I know it all so well, that your policy remains one of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell!
