David Sedaris is hilarious as usual - I love his extremely dry and sarcastic sense of humor and that his family is so weird. It's great to know that my family isn't the only completely crazy one out there. :)

I'm not sure what to say about this. I thought it was funny at times but on the whole a little boring. For the most part it's also shallow. I guess that given the popularity and ubiquity of Sedaris' books I was expecting something more interesting. On the whole it just didn't inspire strong feelin...

David Sedaris was recommended to me eons ago by a former coworker and my only regret is that I didn't read this sooner! Listened to this on audio, read by the author himself and, gotta say, freakin' hilarious, yet, at times, also sentimental and sweet,

This is, in my mind, one of David Sedaris' most moving works of comedy to date. Hejira made me weep. Not finished yet, but hope to soon.

This is a collection of short stories in which David Sedaris has no discretion in defaming himself and his large family. Another good one from Sedaris. I am not sure I would say this one was as strong as Naked, but it still had me in tears, both in pain and out of pure laughter.

I was lucky enough to see David Sedaris at the Palace Theater 2006 and have this book signed by him. He talked about Japan and how they have vending machines selling panties there while he was signing my book, I wouldn't have expected anything else from him while meeting him in person.

Less hysterically funny than "Me Talk Pretty One Day", a bit quieter in tone. Still very enjoyable and quick to read.

The Sedarises are crazy-ass muthafuckers! Loco gringos, hombre, loco. Out of everything he's produced (I've read all of his major work and only missed a few short pieces) this is my favorite David Sedaris book. Yet, I don't recommend it......not always, not to everyone. The subject matter can be too...

Just like in Me talk pretty one day Sedaris has bundled some of his (family) stories. Every aspect of family (life), discovering yourself and the ones around you, knowing how to handle your parents and siblings, is being investigated and written down in a hilarious, original and r...
