I really enjoyed the author's honesty, imagery, easy-going writing style, and the overall structure in "Eat, Pray, Love." The book is written in 108 "tales" of the author's journey through Italy, India, and Indonesia, which makes this a book you can read just about anywhere. Having been to Italy a...
Great book on self-discovery... Many find it shallow I find it refreshing that the author is willing to pour out her own personal feelings, thoughts and opinions as trivial as they may seem. :)
The book didn't do much for me. It wasn't very memorable...the description of the food in Italy is about all I can recall. My advice : watch the movie !

Very nice, maybe not very challenging book but rather read-for-the-pleasure book. Perfect for a relax. When I read it I wanted to pack my bags and travel like a main character, without any plan, just to discover new places and people. But I'm too chicken-livered ... The whole story, however, sounds...
Boring in general, but the irritating factor is the prolonged whining and self-absorption of the main character marketed as a spiritual journey. The most telling aspect is that the character had no guidance. She ate her way through Italy, spent time at the ashram without the presence of the guru, an...
