There's a lot of telling instead of showing. The reader has to wade through a compilation of infodumps. Especially in the first half of the book, it gets progressively better towards the end. WHY was this story so convoluted and confusing??? I had only half an idea of what was going on the entire time I was listening to it. Great Series. Leaves me wanting more and sad I cannot just pick up the next. Automatically on my pre-orders.
