Als Kind habe ich die Kästnerbücher geliebt. Die, die ich hatte jedenfalls. Emil gehörte nicht dazu - leider. Mir hätte das Buch als Kind so gefallen! Eine kleine, feine Geschichte im gewohnten Kästner-Ton.
I'd expected a slightly higher reading age. Emil was fun but I should have tried to plough through it in German for a bit of a challenge.
