To my mind, the most troublesome of Austen's work. I just feel Emma should have been out conquering the world, not stuck in a tiny English village for the rest of her life. Even with a man who loves her. Obviously I'm not suggesting that as some kind of AU Emma fanfic proposition. I think the re...
Reading Jane Austen is always a pleasure. There is nothing tedious in her writing, no twaddle. It is as comfortable and refreshing as listening to Bach, and in some ways just as challenging and rewarding.
