Started this as an audio & loved it so much I had to finish the print version so I could get done faster. Fun, whimsical fairy tale with a bit of darkness. Just adored it, can't wait for #2!
Originally posted at Here There Be Books (goes live 7/9/13).This got off to a good start! I really liked the first few chapters. I liked the world, I liked the characters, I liked the fairy tale stuff sprinkled throughout. And then! It took a turn. Sunday and the frog fell in love, the world explode...
3.5 starsI’m not really even sure what to say about Enchanted. I liked it enough, but I didn’t go crazy about it or hate it so much that I couldn’t finish it. It was my June personal challenge book based off a suggestion, and it was good for what it was, but I’m not sure how I felt about parts of th...
This review can also be found on my blog.Unfortunately, I could not finish this novel. I believe that I do not fit in the to audience that Kontis was writing for. However I read enough of this novel to form my own opinions and issues with this novel.I tried to force myself to finish the book to the ...
A magical mix of fairytale and mystery!I really enjoyed all of the beautiful descriptions and felt that the writing reminded me a lot of an old fairytale with its poetic words. This story puts a whole new spin on the classic Frog Prince and though it does have that basic storyline it takes it to a w...

Enchanted starts off well. The Woodcutter family is diverse and magical and each family member is sufficiently intriguing. The trouble with this book is that the author tried to do too many things all at once. I think she had enough material in this one novel alone for four books and if she had only...
This book was many, many things and the one thing none of them were was coherent. I was always in a state of bewilderment trying to figure out why something was happening and why people talked about one thing as if it was unchangeable when it seemed a simple solution to the dilemma was there. It jum...
