There were parts of this that reminded me of New Moon and I did not like it. So what Varen is gone? Figure shit out, Iz.But other parts were SO good I could not put this down. It's pretty standard as far as middle books go. I loved the ending of this one though. Also, the whole Pinfeathers bit.
