I really liked Kil in book #1 so I skipped the second book and went straight to book #3. This was a about as good as the first, I did skip over the parts about the nieces or cousins or whoever they were, just didn't interest me. Marty's "groovy" wore on me, but that was a small gripe. like book #1...
Titillating erotic sci-fi about Marty a civil rights protester from the 1960's and Kil a futuristic warrior from a different dimension. I liked the story but the short threads hinting at characters in the rest of the series were more enticing.
I read a bunch of this author's books, took a break and then thought I'd read something from her again. This book was really good. It was very funny in parts and a little sad. I read the book after this first, so I know how some of these story lines pan out. But this didn't spoil the book at all....
