The best word to describe this book is "charming." From start to finish it was charming and very reminiscent of a Jane Austen style of prose while still being an easy read for modern audiences. I love the fairy tale of the Twelve Dancing Princesses and this was a smart re-imagining of the story. Th...
***FINAL RATING: 2.55 STARS***CATCHALLWell, this was certainly an interesting book. I enjoyed it more than my rating probably implies. I actually really did like this book. It was definitely enjoyable and had a wide variety of very different characters. I love dance, and naturally stories about danc...
This is sweet retelling of the twelve dancing princesses. I liked how their names were ranged alphabetically. It dragged a bit at times and there was some overuse of the word pouf, but the danger and romance and dancing made up for it.
Entwined is a very cute story, and a great read for lovers of fairytale retellings. Entwined is based on the fairytale The Twelve Dancing Princesses, which I haven’t read so I can’t comment on how accurate Entwined follows the original, or if there are some new twists in this one. It does however h...
Absolutely enchanting! Entwined is unlike anything I've ever read before. I could hardly put the book down. The writing isn't anything spectacular but somehow, I managed to feel like I was reading one of the most graceful pieces of writing on earth. I can only describe it like a dance. This is a wond...
I've heard good things about this book, and for good reason. It was more than just a fairytale of how a princess meets her prince. It has a bit of a dark twist to it that made the book almost impossible to set aside. I was really intrigued with the storyline and the characters and was glad I finally...

ORIGINALLY POSTED ON Debz BookshelfThis book was just so...lush. It was so soft and smooth and clear and just perfect! I love historical fantasy, when a completely fantastical adventure is placed in an actual time and place. This book takes place sometime in the Victorian Era, and captures that worl...
This is not a book for everyone. It is confusing, long and slow in places. Yet I loved it. I love fairy tales. I've loved them since my first retelling of Beauty by Robin McKinley. I loved them when reading Shannon Hale, Gail Carson Levine, and many others. Not all retellings are great, and so...
