I really loved this book but I had to drop it one star because of Reilly. (Her name is Sophia but he never calls her that and she never calls him Tom.) Veck did have many things stacked against him in this one. The biggest one, of course, being that his father was a serial killer. Plus, although, he...
4.5 Stars Quickie Review: J.R. Ward does it again! Envy is hands down, my favorite of the Fallen Angel series so far! The first two novels in the series were somewhat ‘meh’ for me, they didn’t have the same development and intensity that I’ve come to expect from J.R. Ward’s writing but Envy blew my ...
I love me some Ward. The main character, Thomas DelVechio, was introduced briefly in the last books (and I think maybe in one of the BDB books as well). The plot was interesting, and I liked that Devina didn't seem to be as prevalent (she was prevalent in the plot, just not as frequent in person)....
4.5/5; 5 stars; AI was not wildly drawn to the Fallen Angels series after reading the first two books. I thought they were good but not great. This book was great. I listened to it instead of reading it and I think the excellent voice talent of Eric G. Dove contributed to my enjoyment of the st...
3+ stars. I liked Veck. I liked Reilly for the most part... I HATED that she was so easily convinced that her lover, with whom she had just made love the night before, was a serial killer who seduced her as part of his charismatic and psychopathic agenda. JRW knows how to put together characters an...
This was moving along about to be my favorite of this series when something toward the end blew it. The book itself recovered and I did enjoy it but still think I liked the first one the best. It's a little overly long (like most recent Ward books) but it still was quick, entertaining reading. I ...
What a roller coaster! From distrust to breaking rules to love to loss to grief...this book was riddled with emotional twists and turns. I loved most of it, though there was one scene that should have knocked me to my knees emotionally and just...didn't. Still, four stars.
WOW! This book is the best one in this series thus far.. The execution, the plot within this particular journey, the characters, all of it written superbly! I found not one thing wrong, (except what broke my heart) but I do have one question.. Which I will not utter. You will get it once you read to...
It took me a bit longer to read because of the slang writing style. At times it was a little distracting even though I haven't had the same problem with the Black Dagger Brotherhood series written in a similar style. Regardless, the story is excellent and I can't wait for the next installment.
