I liked the concept of the book, but found it lacking. Characters felt flat, only two dimensional. At the end I didn't have an emotional connection to the characters. Read and forget it. Plus plenty of eye rolling moments. Wouldn't recommend.
Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner: 4 stars Clearly the best story in the bunch this had me laughing right from the start. The two MC’s have liked each other from afar for quite a while and do to some hilarious bad meat at a fast food chain have their traditional romance go askew. One MC is the typical “o...
This was one of the funniest books I have read in a long time. It was silly and you have to suspend your disbelief, but the MC is mostly dumb as a box of rocks. His inability to get metaphors right is totally hilarious. I love to mix metaphors as humor but this was just obliviousness. Yet he had a l...
Finding "the one" is something Zane Davis never expects to happen. When he falls for the geeky prison case worker, Brett Emerson, it's a surprise to both of them. Because Brett is engaged to be married to woman and Zane doesn't think Brett is his type. This story could be just a sweet m/m romance bu...
Ethan Stone and Sara York did a fantastic job of expressing Taylor’s inner turmoil. As a straight woman it is very hard to understand how Taylor feels deep inside himself. Reading about Taylor really got those feelings across. This story showed how much hate and harassment Taylor has to go through j...
I wanted to like it. I really did. The plot idea, a trans man falling for a guy and having to decide if pursuing a relationship is worth the risk of rejection, is solid and I was excited to see what the authors would do with it. Unfortunately, the writing was so poor that it barely registered as a s...
A nice contemporary romance short story about a man who wants to find that special someone, but fears his body will not be enough for a potential partner. Fortunately for him, he gets on the radar a sweet bear of a man who is willing to push through those fears. Full disclosure--the authors contac...
Sorry for the bad review, but I'm in a bit of a funk, so this will just mainly be dot points:- promising premise that ended up disappointing (lacked the realism and intensity that made the premise so grabbing)- idiotic, 2D and unlikeable characters. I couldn't relate or sympathise with any of the ch...
This sequel was so emotional, for me, I had to take several breaks just to think. We learn about Cristian's past and my heart hurts. It's literally smashed into itty bitty pieces. I would have liked more interaction between Graham and Cristian though. Maybe like an "I told you I'd get you" or so...
