Eh, parts of this were good, other parts were boring. I could practically hear Jonathan Safran Foer patting himself on the back every couple of pages for being such a special snowflake. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close was better.

After all the buzz about this book, and having enjoyed Foer's 'Eating Animals', I decided to give his fiction a whirl. And was I ever disappointed. I found the writing style of this book irritating. To be fair, I did enjoy the characters in this story, even the dog.
