The greater the Evil, the more deadly the game… When a rapist is found mutilated in a brutal attack, Detective Kim Stone and her team are called in to bring a swift resolution. But, as more vengeful killings come to light, it soon becomes clear that there is someone far more sinister at work. With the investigation quickly gathering momentum, Kim finds herself exposed to great danger and in the sights of a lethal individual undertaking their own twisted experiment. Up against a sociopath who seems to know her every weakness, for Detective Stone, each move she makes could be deadly. As the body count starts to mount, Kim will have to dig deeper than ever before to stop the killing. And this time - it’s personal. The rising star of the British thriller scene returns with a novel that enthrall fans of Rachel Abbott, Val McDermid and Mark Billingham. Watch out for more from D.I. Kim Stone A Detective hiding dark secrets, Kim Stone will stop at nothing to protect the innocent. Evil Games is the second book in the series – see where it all began in SILENT SCREAM - out now. What people are saying about the Number One Bestselling author Angela Marsons 'Stunning The Mail on Sunday 'I absolutely loved it! ... This one is one of the best crime thrillers I've read in a long time, and that includes mainstream authors such as James Patterson!' Fiona’s Book Reviews ’I don't think I've been so hooked by a new author since the discovery of Mark Edwards or Mark Billingham… if you finish a crime thriller feeling like you just need to have a lie-down and a cup of tea to get your breath back, then the writer has done their job. Angela Marsons, I still don't have my breath back.’ Reading Room with a View ‘Angela is already on my list of favourite female writers, she is up there with Rachel Abbott, Mel Sherratt … Leigh Russell and Karen Long.’ Crime Book Club ‘I have not been so impressed by a debut novel in a long time, and I'm actually now itching for more …D.I. Kim Stone is like the British Jane Rizzoli. She's so ballsy and doesn't understand the meaning of the word no.’ Leah Loves ‘The only problem Angela now faces is keeping up this standard as the series progresses, but if she does than she's going to be an author to watch and a huge star within the genre.’ Book Addict Shaun ‘It's highly unusual for me to find a book that leads me to put my life on hold. But Angela Marson's Silent Scream has led me to virtually abandon work for the last day, even with deadlines looming’ Off the Shelf

4.0 Evil Games by Angela Marsons
I found the first book, Silent Scream, OK, but the story in Evil Games is so much better. And, Kim Stone that sometimes annoyed me in the first book didn't annoy me at all this time, on the contrary, I came to like her. A rapist is killed by his victim, but this open and shut case feels wrong for...

While I do not think that it is completely necessary to read the first book in this series to understand the relationships and who Kim is in order to enjoy this book. I think you would be doing yourself a disservice of not reading Silent Scream as it was an awesome debut novel and I highly recommend...

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review**Kim Stone was an inspector detective. Bryant was an inspector sergeant, also Kim's partner and the closest thing she had to a friend. Kim had been a foster child. She had learned good things from them. Kim's twin brother Mikey had d...

5.0 Evil Games
Evil Games, the second novel in the Kim Stone series doesn't disappoint. Two different stories feature in this book, both of which are very disturbing. I can say without giving anything away that Alex, the main character in one of the investigations is a nasty piece of work. This is evident from the...
