Scott Westerfeld dedicated "Extras," "To everyone who wrote to me to reveal the secret definition of the word 'trilogy.'" A book written at the demand of Westerfeld's teen audience, "Extras" takes place three years after we last left Tally Youngblood in "Specials" - when she ended the pretty-time an...

Good read, it was nice to know what happened after the mind rain, but it was a bit long.

I get the formula, but he still manages to write exciting stories. This one gets bonus points for introducing a bunch of new characters, new idiom, new city culture, and a new view of Tally. It's a great series overall.

I thought there were only three in the series, but surprise! I actually really liked this one. I liked the ending better than Specials, although I figured out the ending half way through the book. It was still a good ride.

Well, It is here! The long awaited 4th book in the Uglies series. Author, Scott Westerfeld, made it clear that this book is meant to stand alone since the Uglies, Pretties, and Specials is clearly a trilogy. Extras is set in futuristic Japan three years after the downfall of bubbleheadedness, or ...
