What an absolutely fun-filled romp!! I enjoyed every minute of this fantastically told tale! Mantchev did an excellent job of explaining her totally original world in such a way that I felt like a kid in a candy shop! I can't wait to read whatever comes next!!!

When I finished Eyes Like Stars, I wished I had written it so I could claim its magic and beauty as my own. There is a reason that I'm setting this aside. Right now, if I powered through & finished, it would likely be a 2-star book for me. I think it's MUCH better than that, so I'm going to put it away until I'm in the right mood for it. That way, it'll get the rating that I feel better reflects the book ...
