This was a wonderful story, and while the writing itself isn't without issues (there's a problematic scene transition and some telling where showing would be better), the story transcended those issues. This book definitely has a place on my Keeper shelf.

4.5 starsA beautiful, sweet, emotional love story between a half Indian and a 'proper' lady. I really loved it, just don't see myself re-reading it since I like a little bit more tension/drama between the couple, hence I had to take a star down. Otherwise, it was excellent and very nicely written.

UPDATE 2/7/13: I've recently come to the conclusion that I can't always tell how much I love a book when I first finish it. I've realized that certain books stick with me for months and months after I've finished reading them though. And for me, that's become the real test of if I really loved a boo...
