Like her writing style, but I am only on the second chapter and I'm getting really annoyed. Seems like the author has a daughter (book jacket) but I don't know of any 9 yr olds that carry around a stuffed animal, use a booster seat, and can also surf the internet. Wanted to like it more than I did.

While not as riveting as Tana French's first two novels, Faithful Place is still an exceptional hybrid between the detective novel and the psychological thriller. While the mystery aspects of this story is interesting, French is much more interested in dissecting a dysfunctional family and the damag...

I think I found out about this in the Million’s website, it was on some list, I believe. I wrote it down on my wishlist but never thought I’d actually find it. I am not sure why I gave this book 3 stars. It was better than the previous one, but it still didn't drag me in and make it irresistable to put down. I guess with everything I was hearing about it, I expected it to do that. My final GR rating would more than likely be 2.5/5 atars.

In Faithful Place, Tana French moves away from the creative plot lines of In the Woods and The Likeness and dives deep into the psychological battles that families wage amongst themselves. With this novel, French has proven that not only can she write innovative detective fiction, she has a handle o...

Unabridged (~16 hours)Read by Tim Gerard ReynoldsLong awaited but worth the wait - a dark tale plaiting many family secrets together. Do you get the feeling that most families are dysfunctional to some degree.
