And I'm happy to tell you all that False Memory totally lived up to my expectations! The pace in False Memory never slows down! I...

3.5/5In recent months there’s been an upswing in kick ass, superhero like characters in YA, not so many werewolves and vampires of late instead we’ve got the Merrick brothers of Elementals, those aliens in the Lux series, and even those super special ‘uns in Hunting then Losing Lila (there are more,...

Original review (10/1/2012): http://onabookbender.com/2012/10/01/review-false-memory-by-dan-krokos2.5I can’t believe I’m actually going to say this, but… this book didn’t have enough angst in it for me. This past year has seen a re-emergence, not only in the fantasy genre, but also in the science-fiction genre concerning YA. While I'd need about a dozen hands to count all the new fantasy and sci-fi books published this year, I only need one to count all the good ones. False Memory, I am glad to...

I love Miranda, love her take-no-bullshit attitude and truly felt and connected with her relationship with Peter. In fact, the two of them together where one of the best parts in the book aside from Miranda being a cold, hardass motherfucker. I liked it a lot.

Not feeling this one right now. I won't call it an official DNF, yet, but it's officially put down for now.

I was hesitant to read Dan Krokos' False Memory because I'm not a huge fan of the whole "MC with amnesia must put the pieces of their life puzzle back together" thang. BUT, I'm so glad I didn't let that premise stop me from reading this book because as it turns out, Krokos does this premise well...i...

*****FINAL RATING: 4.65 STARS*****(Just to make a random observation, I seem to give out a lot of 4.65 ratings.)CATCHALLWhen I started reading False Memory, I'm not sure what I expected. Maybe something formulaic, even boring. Like every other sci-fi novel out there. But if that's what I expected, t...
