Amazing book, though expected a bit more magic to be honest.

A short book for charity. Nice one. Complete the illusion by putting the fictional writer on the cover. Enjoy this. Couldn't resist buying some gifts for myself. The handwritten stuff added the illusion of being a used book of Harry Potter. There is more evidence for Harry Potter being real than...

I cannot see this screenplay without also thinking about the movie. I saw the movie twice and read the book in less than a week, I think this goes to show how much I was enjoying it. I've to admit that I don't mind reading screenplays, which might hold some people back. The story in the screenplay w...

I hadn't read this in so long I'd pretty much forgotten everything about it. My husband recently bought me the Hogwarts Library books in hardcover to replace my utterly destroyed paperbacks, and with the new movie out, I decided it was time to re-read this one. I really enjoyed it, probably because ...

Magic is back, muggles. I was trying to ignore the existence of this book because of the last fiasco of Rowling, Cursed Child. Instead I started to spend my reading time by revisiting the series over and over again. Then I could not help it and read it today. OMG, it was phenomenal.Newt Schmankerl i...

I read this in one morning. It’s not a long book. In fact, it’s more of an encyclopaedia for the bests of Harry Potter (although I’m not too sure if it’s a complete one as there aren’t that many). Now, if you read this book expecting a novel, well I am going to tell you now, go to your local library...

This is written as Harry Potter's own textbook for Hogwarts. Obviously, it's J.K. Rowling writing as a character from Harry's world. It serves more as a reference to readers of the Magical Creatures in the series. The movie that is coming out by the same name in November of this year (2016) is base...

A quick, fun read. While each entry is rather short and there are minimal pictures of the creatures, this is still a very good read. The making of the book is also interesting since it was written to benefit Comic Relief, giving you all the more reason to read it. A must read for all Potter fans.

Great read for fans of Harry Potter. I just wish there were more illustrations, drawings,it would make the creatures easier to imagine and it would make this little read even more enjoyable. 4.5 stars
