4.0 A Terrible Sort of Beauty
This is definitely hardboiled horror. I read this during the day, but I wouldn't read this before bed. It's very dark and some of the aspects and imagery are pretty disturbing. 4.0 Wasn't sure I'd like this, but by jove, I did!
Bullet Review:I wasn't sure if I would like this, as it isn't my typical fair. But Brubaker is a great writer; Phillips a superb artist. VERY creepy noir=horror comic; will definitely check out the rest in this line.

4.0 Fatale, Vol. 1: Death Chases Me
This is probably the first time that I've been reading a comic and noticed how excellent the color work is.The themes of cultists, monsters, immortality, and detectives are well worn but at their best here. I am enthralled and can't wait to continue to read this series.
