At the end of Wither, Rhine and Gabriel manage to escape from Linden’s mansion, but unfortunately things don’t instantly improve once their outside those walls. Rhine isn’t much of a planner and her plan was simple, escape this life. She didn’t even consider what she should do once she accomplishe...

Fever begins directly after Wither ends. Rhine and Gabriel have escaped the mansion, and Vaughn's clutches, and are determined to live out the rest of their short lives together; with Rhine's brother, Rowan. That is, until they are held against their will by a seemingly mad woman who goes by the nam...

YA FanticThere are ups and downs with Lauren DeStefano. The ups are twisted world building with a slow pace which I usually hate but she makes it work and the down is that I don't know to say about Fever. It's like the whole book was wrapped in a mist and you can't see right. The same thing happened...

More like 2.5. The first one was three stars that were really 3.5, and the second one I'm rounding up from 2.5. The writing is still lush and lovely and evocative, but the plot is a little lost and tentative. Maybe it's necessary setup for the third one, but I wasn't that into the story this time ar...

This review is also posted on Mommy's Reading BreakAfter the ending of Wither, I was very anxious to see what would happen to Rhine and Gabriel. I really liked the beginning. It picked up very soon after the ending of Wither, and they’re running from the boat they stole as people are trying to tow i...

OMFG So Good. Not gonna lie, I was worried when this book started that the whole thing would be her stuck with that crazy carnival Madame, but luckily, that wasn't the case. These books are fucking with my head... In a good way.
