The cover of this book is soooooo pretty, it takes my breath away. I guess, it's only fitting for a beautiful lady like Fire, eh?Anyways.Fire is a different story from Graceling altogether but it doesn't make it any less interesting. While Graceling tells a story of people who are Graced with all so...
A strong sequel, though Fire does engage in a little too much hand-wringing and selfishness, to the detriment of the novel. That said, I loved the plot, the romance, the new "monsters", and the new location. All in all, it was an entertaining read and left pretty excited to buy Bitterblue.
I might be on a bit of a fantasy kick these days. Okay, okay...I'm totally on a fantasy kick, but I haven't been disappointed by a book in a few weeks, so I must be doing something right...right?No, I didn't enjoy Fire as much as I did Graceling, nor did I expect to. I mean, Graceling had Katsa an...
I think Kristin Cashore might be one of my new favorite authors. Well, I read Graceling awhile ago, so I suppose she's not entirely new, but I loved Graceling and now I love Fire. I love both Katsa and Fire. They are so different and yet so similar in their strength and compassion, and at the same t...
7/7/13 ** The first time I read this book, I was disappointed. At that time, I'd recently finished Graceling and really wanted a sequel...which Fire isn't. I may have read Fire again when I finished Bitterblue, but I don't recall.Whatever, this time I gobbled it up in 2 days and found it stunning....
This was another great book by Kristin Cashore! The visualization was wonderful and the characters were so different than anything I had ever read about before! I really think that Kristin grew a lot from when she wrote Graceling! Fire was a different character, she was unlike any character I have e...
I got 40% through and I quit. I don't really feel qualified to review this at all because I can barely remember anything about it.It sucked enough for me to give up though. I didn't like the characters and the story line was shit.Sorry Cashore. I liked Graceling. Maybe I'll give Bitterblue a try.NEX...
After reading Graceling and seeing how wonderful Cashore's writing style was, how much of a strong character Katsa was, how lovely Po was, I was extremely excited to get my hands on Fire! However, that excitement quickly died down within the first 150 pages. After being introduced to Fire and Archer...
While this book was not nearly as good as Graceling, I still enjoyed it. Fire was an interesting heroine, but I found her constant melancholy unattractive, especially at the end. The saving grace for me was Brigand. I loved him as a character/love interest. He was a strong army commander whose mantl...
I couldn't quite decide what to rate this but I'm going to be generous because of the ending. I liked it okay but it didn't have the same sense of excitement that [b:Graceling|3236307|Graceling (Graceling Realm, #1)|Kristin Cashore|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1331548394s/3236307.jpg|3270810] did. N...
