I think I found a new favorite author. I loved, loved, loved this book. It's been a while since I read a book that really pulled me in (the most recent ones were meh-okay kind of books), but this one swept me off my feet and into the story right from the start. What impressed me right away was the wr...

The beginning was great but the rest of the book never got quite "there" when it came to execution. I also must shamefully admit to losing interest the moment I realized that this series would have different characters in every book. I had craved a long running series with Archer and Miranda.I had s...

Excellent start to the series! I had been holding off on reading this book (despite hearing all the hype about it) because I'm not all that big into historical romances anymore. However, Firelight managed to stay away from most of the tropes that annoy the shit out of me in that genre. This, in larg...

I read this book at the beginning of 2013. And as usual, every time i start a new series, i had high expectations regarding it. Things looked promising, and as a matter of fact, almost every single review that i read about it were extremely positive. Always something to take into consideration... U...

Quick I just finished this blurb: It's Phantom of the Opera meets Beauty and the Beast with a dash of paranormal, a pinch of suspense, and a sequel that's already in my hands. Now the longer SCORE:Story:This books takes us to a fun time in Victorian England, towards the end of the era. Most of the ...

[Edit: Oh, and I forgot to say that it's -- not really "based on" but I'll say influenced by the tale [book:East of the Sun & West of the Moon|633668] in ways that become more explicit as the story progresses.]When I started this book, which I picked up at random from the library without any advance...

It's been a little while since I actually read this... I remember liking the H/H but thinking that a lot of the story was based on the Heros story and the Heroines pyro abilities (for which the book is named) were very backseat.

I'm on a roll this month reading books that are difficult to categorize. This one is definitely a romance but it's paranormal, historical and a little bit gothic. Personally I like all of those so I enjoyed this book. Looking forward to reading more in the series.

The beginning started out solid and by the middle, it slowly dissolved into an uneven, quite simply, boring read. Critical information was doled at the wrong moment and situations dragged on too long. The paranormal elements really didn't add to the story and could have easily been removed. I have t...

Wow. What a surprise. This little gem has been sitting on my kindle for over eight long months. I never knew what I was missing. This is the story of Miranda Ellis. She is the young woman who has a special "gift" that cost her family their entire fortune. She is tough and proud. She ends up helping ...
