I liked Denise and Spade, but they are no Cat and Bones. It was cool "the gang" all made appearances and (I thought) made the book more enjoyable. I liked Denise's decision towards the end of the book. She saved herself and realized she didn't need Spade to do it all for her. Yay!

I wasn't sure about this book, since I'm reading it as part of the Night Huntress Universe but it's more PNR romance than anything. I'm not sure I would have liked it as much if the MCs where just random people from the NH universe, I might have skipped this book completely if that had been the case...
