First Grave on the Right was definitely a wonderful quick read for me. It's one of those reads that make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, or at least I do, it's hard for some authors to pull off such wonderful wit and sarcasm. It just tickled me pink. I loved Charlie, she's a determined smart@ss,...

Um....what? I'll give this book one thing, it never let me sit back, get comfortable, and laze my way through. No, this was more akin to a zero to sixty roller-coaster with more twists, turns, and loop the loops then you'd believe. Not saying it was bad, far from it, just that it caught me flat ...

"There's a certain responsibility that comes with having a name like Charley Davidson. It brooks no opposition. It takes no shit from no one." Charley my dear, you have done your exquisite name proud. Charley was my favorite kind of heroine, brave, hilarious, tough as nails, smartass with a hea...

I really loved the first half of this book. It was light and funny and I enjoyed the writing voice quite a bit. However, I wasn't a huge fan of Charley's unholy obsession with Reyes, and the middle of the book gets bogged down under the weight of its own secrets. The explanation at the end seemed...

I didn’t like it! It annoyed me; Charley annoyed me! She seemed incapable of anything except being sarcastic or being horny. Instead of being a kick-ass heroin, she came across as trying too hard. Also, why was her father seem okay with her stepmother and stepsister’s cold treatment of Charley? Not ...

Charlie Davidson is the grim-reaper, but not the stereotypical black cloak and scythe wielding reaper. Charlie looks like an average woman... unless you're dead. Then she's the bright shining light at the end of the tunnel. Dead people are naturally drawn to walk into her. However, some of them are ...
