3.5 starsI have read all books in this series, and I usually enjoy learning more about forensic anthropology and the scientific process behind identifying those who have passed. Some of the jargon Tempe uses has become more and more familiar to me and is helpful in other novels I read sometimes too....
This is one of my favorite authors but I didn't like this latest installment very much. I didn't like the Nascar bit and found Tempe too willing to please her ex in his new relationship.
While I enjoyed the vegetable similes (eggplant storm clouds; brain as sharp as a brussels sprout), the NASCAR setting bored me. A decent book, not enthralling.
