This story just did not work from me from the get-go. I never got into the characters, and the forced feeling of the mystery just kept me out of it completely. I really did want to like this, but I just gave up about halfway through.
In April 1994, David gets a visit from a beautiful young woman who seems to know him but who has no memory of. When she won't tell him her name, he calls her Layla after the song that's playing, and she freaks out. After a bit of prompting, Layla claims to have come from the future (2014). Of course...
