Not very well written -- flat writing, continuity issues, etc.

Hmmm...I don't know what to say about this book.Pros: * I liked the characters* Interesting ideaCons:* What just happened?Seriously...I'm still a bit confused as to the story. It felt like there was a series of action sequences followed by no revelation.

This novel read more like a contemporary then a paranormal story which is something I really liked about it. I’ve been going through a bit of a contemporary phase so I was especially excited to start this one. I was disappointed though when the story never morphed into something I could enjoy and re...

I try to avoid reading other reviews of a book before I write mine. I don’t want my words to be skewed by another’s opinion. Or, in this case, I don’t want my review to end up being a rebuttal to a few other reviews. I should know better… what was I thinking?Fracture is one of those quick, young ...

Originally posted at my blog Chasing Empty PavementsThis book has been on my radar for a while. From the minute I saw the cover and read the blurb, I wanted to read it. I found the plot confusing and rather boring at times. I got through 2/3 of the book and just skipped to the end, and found no enlightenment in the conclusion. Also, way too many supporting characters. I will not be reading the sequel.

I do believe that YA is losing its luster for me as it's been awhile since I read one that really grabbed me. This one definitely didn't. I guess the premise was good, maybe I just wasn't in the right mood. I think I'll just not finish books in this genre when they don't grab me in the future.

The idea for Fracture was amazing and I loved it a lot. It was really well written and a few surprising things happens in this book. Although the plot was good, the characters' weren't the best and seemed as if Megan Miranda didn't know what to do with one or two of them. The most interesting charac...
