Steeped in Science, Submersed in Story
Forsyth's story is not just about adventure and intrigue, although they are significant. He is still angry about the British role (the government and the BBC) in the Nigerian civil war of the late 60s, a conflict I knew little about before starting the book. He has something to tell us about the i...

A good page-turner of a story, following the investigation into a possible attempt on de Gaulles life.Set during the 1960's, there's plenty of twists as the search rests on the shoulders of one detective to try and find him, while convincing his superiors that there is a definite threat. The setting ...

I was hooked from the first paragraph, and I would've kept turning the pages, but I had to take a...

Książka przeszła przez wszystkie przypadłości gnębiące Albatrosa. Zmianę tytułu (dwa razy), zmianę okładki (2 razy) i zmianę daty wydania (pierwotnie było 2013). Żeby jeszcze stopniować napięcie, strasznie reklamowana jako wielki powrót mistrza thrillera szpiegowskiego. Tyle tylko, z tego co wiem to...

Read this years ago. I was very excited to find this book initially, and I loved Leroux's book and of course Webber's play. In the preface it says that Forsyth is a friend of Webber so I was optimistic about liking it. WRONG. This book is total crap and will be a sore disappointment for Leroux fans....

Its after a long time that I picked up a book by this author. The last I read was The Odessa File some 2 years back. I had almost forgotten what a fantastic author he is!The Kill List is about just what the title suggests – a list of people who are tracked and assassinated. This time it’s an imam wh...
