6/5/11 ** Day 9 Book 10 ** A new record today - 1/4 of book 7 and all of book 8. I'm going to have to leave the Sookie universe for a while since I don't own any more and I'm 15th on the list at the library for #9. This one definitely left on a cliffhanger - Sookie found a third telepath. Don't s...

I liked this book well enough, although it almost felt like a placeholder book for the series as the book doesn't really have a through-plot of its own. Some threads from previous books get wrapped up. New ones get introduced. I suppose what the book really is about is Sookie herself evaluating who ...

I'm giving this book 3.5 stars. Eric bumps it up a half star and since I do remember that with .5 you round up, it goes up to four stars. In some ways this novel was a mess. The pacing was really off because so much was happening and none of it was related. Also, to fit everything in, all of the...
Muddled, Mystified & Marvelous Musings
It was absolutely an appropriate point in the series for Ms. Harris to "clean house" a bit; the series was becoming a bit unwieldy with the many characters Sookie had become entwined with and the drama they brought with them into her life. I plan to continue reading the "Stackhouse books," as I've c...

2nd time re-reading this book - this time by audiobook.I like that Eric has finally remembered his time with Sookie and can't wait to see what happens with that. And finally I'm starting to feel sorry for Bill. Rock and a hard place - he was commanded to get close to her and when he did he fell in...

I have to echo the thoughts of Sookie at one point in this book - I am SO sick of Debbie Pelt. When will this storyline come to an end??Right, now I've got that off my chest let us continue. This book is rather odd, it seems to exist just to tie up some loose ends and throw some new ones out there. ...

I'm surprised by how many people didnt like this book, its not the best in the series, but its definately better than the last two. There was sometimes so much suspense and tension, like when it was the pack meeting and the new vampires came to take over that I just couldn't put the book down, but t...
