Another great volume, this one was (kind of) action-packed! Kenji and Shiro are the best. I want to try making the apple muffins and the sweet potato rice recipes.
Shiro and Kenji’s birthday date night was the highlight of this volume. I really love reading this manga, it’s so soothing to me and I’m also now watching the live action which is as soothing as the manga.
Like many other reviewers have mentioned, this is a perfectly cozy volume of the series. I love whenever Kenji cooks for Shiro because he does it with such love and excitement. It makes me sad that Shiro keeps his personal life a secret but then again, I also get it’s nobody’s business.
Oh, Shiro. You made me so happy when you chose to spend your New Years with Kenji. And to see how much they love each other always gives my heart a squeeze. I enjoy seeing Shiro’s character growth, makes me feel like I’m growing up along with him.
It made me sad that Shiro’s parents uninvited Kenji to their New Years celebration. Otherwise, I really enjoyed this volume. Their brownie recipe seems a little complicated, though.
That first chapter nearly broke my heart because it's so damn beautiful. I also loved seeing Kenji making the meals in the last chapter. They are so good at taking care of each other in their own way.
I think this might be my favorite volume so far, mostly because you get to see Shiro's devotion to Kenji in small ways and I just love them so much. I teared up, I got the feels. This series is truly a slow burning one but I think that's what makes me love it so much. It's all about the quiet moment...

I took my time reading this volume because of finals. Shiro and Kenji are wonderful together and I love seeing how they live their life and love each other while enjoying meals together.
