My niece, nephew, and I enjoyed Throw Your Tooth on the Roof. My niece and nephew both liked learning about what kids from various countries/cultures do with their teeth when they fall out, and my nephew, like me, was fascinated by how many cultures believe in a "Tooth Mouse" rather than a Tooth Fa...
8/20/12 ** Used as part of the personal narrative (memoir) unit in Writer's Workshop. This is a good mentor text for taking a brief, seemingly unimportant memory and creating a published text. Lots of imagination in the way the parts of the car wash are depicted. Downside is that there are no tex...
While reading this to my daughters I had a few laughs myself. The older girl talks to the baby in the grass. Suggesting he get a job because all his spare time.I laughed while reading. Great!

A worthy little revisionist take on Sleeping Beauty. The drawings are fun and funky. The verse is entertaining. In this story the girl gets to save herself and that's nice, but beyond that it's not a particularly memorable book.
