The Night Owl

This was a weird ass book and not a good intro to James Patterson. The book starts off with a young Jane and her imaginary friend Michael. Jane is a lonely girl without much parental supervision. Her mom Vivienne is a successful Broadway producer living a fabulous life, while her dad is barely prese...

For some reason I really enjoy how James Patterson make his chapters so short. There is always something interesting that happens in each chapter and since they are so short they fly by. His novels tend to be page turners for me, Witch & Wizard was no exception. I read it relatively fast, and enjoye...

Rating: 3 of 5 Recommended by my 13-year-old daughter. I'm a fan of Patterson's Alex Cross books, so I figured, what the hay. I'd heard Witch & Wizard summed up as Harry Potter meets Hunger Games, which piqued my interest. Don't buy into that or expect the superb world-building or characterizati...

THIS BOOK IS JUST AMAZING OK!! Made me cry! Just like what the movie adaptation did! The story is amazing. Childhood friends. Imaginary friends. Love story. Family. It had the mix of all those! Must-read! (and must-watch! the film is great!)

This was okay. I've recently read If You Could See Me Now which was the same premise; imaginary friend turned lover. The ick factor was definitely there for me. This guy was her imaginary friend as a child. Now they meet when she is in her thirties and instantly feel a sexual attraction? Ew. S...

So far it's an interesting story, and I've been a fan of Chmakova's art for some time now, but James Patterson's books-turned-graphic novels tend to have rushed pacing and ill-timing. This one is no exception.

Whit and Wisty are violently taken from their house in the middle of the night and thrown into jail with many other children. Their family (the Allgoods) are being accused of being magical – Whit being a wizard and Wisty, a witch. The news is a shock to the brother and sister since their parents nev...

This story was really touching! I liked so much! I think I'll do re-read in English.
