Get Over Photographers Block
There may be times when you have lost your photographic Mojo, which is the equivalent of writer's block. In the Good and Geeky photography book there are solutions to this problem. A range of ideas to get your head back into the proper frame of mind for getting back into photography and enjoying it. There are solutions which will involve spending some money and are more technical. There are other solutions which are tricks of the mind to get you thinking like a photographer once more.

Using Apps to Sort your Photos
The book has links to tutorials to help you get the most from using Aperture on the Mac to organise and to work with your photos. The new Photos app from Apple which is coming in 2015 will not work in exactly the same way, but Aperture is going to be around for some time yet. In any case, there will be new chapters added to the book as soon as the new application becomes available. There are other tutorials and chapters about applications for stitching photos together to make panoramas, HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography and about other ways to triage and sort out your photos on your computer.

Hello EVIL Cameras
Camera equipment is important and is continually improving. The tools we use to create our artistic photos are giving us more and more choices and better quality. The seachange which is occurring at the moment is the move from traditional single lens reflex SLR cameras to the mirrorless cameras. The way that technology is going, it will be soon the case that cameras with a mirror inside them will be a rarity. I include reviews in this book of my change to a Sony EVIL (Electronic Viewfinder Interchangeable Lens) Camera. With the improvements of the screens for the electronic viewfinder it seems that this is the way of the future.

Truth or Expressive Photo Art
There are so many approaches to photography, some like to go for a perceived truth in an image. Some of us prefer to go towards the idea that we should be creating photographic art with a no holds barred approach. Read the book and decide which side of the fence you want to be standing upon.
