I loved it. The PandaBat read all the little cartoon interludes, and matched up the icons to the authors. The Possum stole it and held it for weeks, because she got sucked in by Libba Bray's story. There's all kinds of geekery at our house, so it was a great read.

I liked some stories more than others -- inevitable, I guess. Personally I'd have wished for more comic book geekisms, but I suppose I could settle for the small amount of Doctor Who references in the stories. This book opened my head to the other side of geekery that I have not explored, and that's...

I liked pretty much every story in here except the one by Libby Bray. To be clear -- Bray's writing wasn't bad, it was just really depressing. I generally try to avoid reading depressing books. I don't know, just something about why I read -- I read to learn or escape. And that final short story...

A fun collection of short stories, all celebrating our love, fascination, and sometimes obsession with movies, films, books, games, etc.

Like most collections, this has its good stories and its bad. It begins with the punchy "Once You're a Jedi, You're a Jedi All the Way," a really enjoyable piece by Holly Black and Cecil Castellucci. I loved it because it was both about geekery (Klingons vs Jedi, the ideas of the purpose behind an...

It probably says more about me than about the book that the first, most important thing I need to say about it is that John Green, in his story 'Freak the Geek' got his facts about Aragorn and Arwen from LotR wrong. The story of their wedding is not told in the appendix, but rather in the final book...

This is one of those books you can pick up and read in no particular order and everyone needs a book like that once in awhile. Although if you are a true geek, it will bother you to no end to read something out of order. I was one of those girls who spent her babysitting money on OMNI magazine (yo...

Geektastic is a very different book. I'm not going to write my own plot summary just because there are tons of different stories in Geektastic and it would take forever. I will say that they were all really cute and geeky!Okay I will admit that I am not that geeky. I have never been a fan of Star Wa...
