I am really, really glad I didn't give up on this series. It took longer than it probably should have for the books to get this good, but now that he's reached the middle of his series, Butcher isn't afraid to get all experimental and I'm totally loving every second of it.Changes ended with Harry Dr...

Only Harry Dresden could die and still end up having to save the world! All the things I can think to say will be spoilers, so that's all I have to say.

This could be my favorite of the Dresden books. Butcher's storytelling is strong and explores the supporting cast in new depth.

The prime directive is "show! Don't tell!"This book is mostly a Harry Dresden monologue, and a pretty boring one at that. Feels phoned in. And if I hear one more cheesy Star Wars quip, I will scream and break things...

I'm going to assume that if you're reading this review, you've read all of the Dresden books up to and including Ghost Story. So, if you haven't, don't complain if I spoil this for you, because I just don't think I can vague-ify this one. Here we go... Reaction immediately after finishing Changes & ...

I'm not entirely sure what the point of this novel was considering it really doesn't advance Dresden's story all that much.I like Dresden. I do, but the series was never get in hardcover for me. I gladly pick them up in paperbacks, so I was not one of those screaming at the end of Changes (appare...

Rating: 3 of 5 Ghost Story was okay. The pace and plot were slow-going, and the last three chapters ... awfully convenient. The book probably could've been about 150 pages shorter and still accomplished its goal. I definitely could've done without all the time spent on memories as well as Molly's ...
